Chose the wrong program as default for .rar files, how do I correct this?
I got a serious problem.
I wanted to change the default program of .rar file to winzip
but I clicked on windows explorer instead.(C:/windows/explore.exe)
And now every time I open any .rar file a process tree of explore.exe get opened with 98% CPU usage.
I went to contrl panel and (Control Panel\Programs\Default Programs\Set Associations)
set associations but I cant see .rar format thats very big problem :(
What do I do now ???? :( :(

The filetype for .zip files is CompressedFolder.
I don’t know if you should use this for .rar files or create a new one.
However, .rar can be changed to winzip using the command window:
1.
Open a Run window (Windows Logo key+R), type cmd and press Enter.
2.
Type assoc .zip and press Enter (to check that it is CompressedFolder).
3.
Type ftype CompressedFolder and press Enter (to check that it points to the full path to winzip).
4.
Type assoc .rar=CompressedFolder and press Enter (to associate ,rar to winzip).
