Hello, I am trying to get my DELL Inspiron 15R laptop with Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit to communicate with my Texas Instruments DSP board (TMS320C6711 DSK) via a IEEE-1284 compliant USB-to-Parallel Interface converter cable and I do not know how to change
the parallel interface to operate in EPP or EPC mode in order for the DSP board to communicate bi-directionally with my laptop.
Can anyone suggest a solution please?

Machine Throttling

• Click the Start button.
• In the Search box, type "regedit" (without quotes) and press Enter.
• Look for the following registry key: "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\ Microsoft\ SQMClient\Windows\DisabledSessions".
• On the right window pane, delete the subkey: "Machine Throttling".
• Reboot your system.
