Problem appears on all email programs and blogs.
I can't find an icon that matches this one.

this is a recent problem and I have not made any changes to PC.
Also, some pictures in blogs will show.  It is not a google icon but is similar.

I would suggest you to follow these steps.
1.      Go to Internet 
Explorer  > Tools > Internet options.
2.      Select
Advanced tab.
3.      Under
settings option, locate Multimedia
4.      And check mark
Show pictures.
5.      Click
Apply and Ok
