Cannot download Mcafee Software

Having a problem downloading the free Mcafee Security offered throug AOL.  I get the error message when attempting the last stage of the download : Internet Explorer cannot display webpage.   Can anyone help?  I read some of the same problems, but I don't
understand the "how to".  I need very simple instructions, go to theis screen, hit this, do that.......etc.

I'm sure if you contact AOL, they would walk you through the process easy.  You will have to give some more details on what is happening so we can provide any help.  I do not have AOL to test out the scenario.  
Is this a home computer or work computer? Does it connect to a network with a server/domain?
What is the operating system? XP or Vista? 32 bit or 64 bit?
What version of Internet Explorer are you using?
Are you running any antivirus/antimalware program on your computer? Are they up to date?
Did you install updates available from Windows Update?

System Update Readiness Command: To Fix Cannot download Mcafee Software

On running the System Update readiness Command, it will Detect & Replace Incorrect Registry data with the Correct one. Which may ultimately Solve Cannot download Mcafee Software in Windows.

1. Open CMD as Administrator by Simply Right Clicking on Start button > Command Prompt (Admin).
2. Now Type or Copy paste "DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Scanhealth" and hit Enter,
3. Now again Type or Copy paste this "DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth" and hit Enter.
4. Close the Command Prompt Window because we are done.
