Boot defrag reduces largest contiguous free space ?

Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit
I recently did a clean install of Windows, and have installed all my apps.
After using the computer a few days, I then ran a boot defrag:
defrag C: /B
Comparing the pre-defrag and post-defrag reports, it appears that pre-defrag had a larger contiguous free space (37.07 GB) than post-defrag (4.43 MB).
That seems strange, or do those numbers mean something else?

Boot in Safe Mode:

• Open Run command as previously described
• Type MSConfig
• Click on Boot tab
• Tick Safe boot in Boot option
• Select Network
• Click Apply and OK
• Reboot your system

Your system will boot in Safe mode with Networking. You may now try and open Windows Store and should not see any errors.
