Troubleshoot:After installing Windows 7 Service Pack 1, my internet connection speed has dropped considerably.

After installing Windows 7 Service Pack 1, my internet connection speed has dropped considerably.

I'm using Win7 Pro on an upgraded XP desktop pc (purchased in early 2006),  with 4gb RAM plenty of room on the c:\drive.
Running Office 2010 and McAFee firewall / antivirus. Everything was working good until I got a Windows update last week and my internet
connection started choking.
Pages won't load unless I repeatedly do a refresh.
Streaming video which used to be a breeze is now running at a crawl.
Forget about watching Netflix the movie will load and after a minute or so, waits hangs in buffer.
My other
pc's in my house that is connected to the same router are aok.
I've updated the firmware on the router, also udpated the desktop drivers for my network adaptor which is a Marvel Yukon.  Did a system restore to before the update and it worked fine.
Then the
update reinstalled itself and the issue persists.
Any ideas?  Thank you.
