Audio problem after recent update - Windows 8
After updates KB2855336 and KB2822241 from Windows Update, which I updated this monday 2013-07-29, my sound randomly stops working.
When this happens I'm unable to view the sound settings which lets me see the devices.
I am able to open the volume control, but when I change the volume the marker moves once and freezes.
By freezing, I mean whiting out and the "hourglass" keeps
rolling while hovering.
I am able to cut the process which removes the small window, but it will crash again after.
I am using a Logitech G930, and has been for a long time so it would be very unlikely if that would somehow be a problem.
Also the fact that the internal speakers and 3.5mm headphones won't play any sounds.
One of the updates that I mentioned above had a fix for an audio problem, is it possible that the "fix" caused this?
I'm using a laptop of type ASUS K53BY if that were to be relevant.
