Hi Michael,
Thank you for posting your query in the Microsoft Community forum.
Based on the above description, it appears that you’re unable to attach a photo file to an e-mail.
Before we proceed troubleshooting this issue,
I would appreciate if you could answer the following questions.
1.
Which e-mail client are you using?
2.
Does this happen on all the websites?
3.
Is the issue confined to a specific file or with all the files?
4. What is the size of the file?
I would suggest you to follow the steps provided and later update us on the status of the issue.
Method 1: Start Internet explorer with No add-ons mode and check if the same issue occurs.
Click on Start, All Programs, Accessories, System Tools and click on Internet Explorer (No Add-ons).
If the issue does not persist in Internet Explorer (No Add-ons), then it is one of the add-ons causing this issue.
Refer to the link for disabling add-ons: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/internet-explorer/manage-add-ons#ie=ie-10-win-7
Method 2: If the issue persists then try to reset Internet explorer by following the steps mentioned in this link.
http://windows.microsoft.com/is-is/internet-explorer/change-ie-settings#ie=ie-10-win-7
Important: Reset Internet Explorer to its default configuration.
This step will also disable any add-ons, plug-ins, or toolbars that are installed.
Although this solution is quick, it also means that,
if you want to use any of those add-ons in the future, they must be reinstalled.
For any Windows related issues please feel free to contact us and we will be glad to help.
To check for Windows updates. Open Windows Update by clicking the Start button , clicking All Programs, and then clicking Windows Update. In the left pane, click Check for updates, and then wait while Windows looks for the latest updates for your computer. If any updates are found, click Install updates.
Install the latest updates for Windows and for the program displaying the error. Note that the update for the program might be listed as an optional update on the Windows Update page.
Open Windows Update by clicking the Start button Picture of the Start button. In the search box, type Update, and then, in the list of results, click Windows Update.
